On April 21, 2025, New Mexico Tech (NMT) and PetroVietnam University (PVU) reaffirmed their commitment to academic excellence by renewing their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for an additional five years, extending the collaboration through 2030.

This renewal underscores the ongoing success of the joint undergraduate programs in Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering, which have provided students with valuable international educational experiences. The partnership continues to foster academic exchange, research collaboration, and cross-cultural engagement between the two institutions.
